STUDIO 85
Studio 85, a space for body, mind and soul. Since 2022.
About our founder, Romea Kanzler:
My yoga journey began in 1997 and took me from Australia to London, before bringing me back to Wiesbaden in 2005. I wanted to understand more, to learn more, and so in 2012, I began my yoga teacher training in Mainz.
After my certification, I started teaching in various studios, including my home base, Balance Yoga! in Mainz. The exchange between teacher and student became a wonderful enrichment in my life. Even today, I continue to learn just as much from the people I teach as they learn from me.
A true win-win situation!
Since the studio's opening, my daughter Ve has joined our team, enriching Studio 85 with her unique energy and expertise. At 28 years old, Ve brings a fresh perspective, managing our social media platforms, shaping the look and feel of our website, and handling marketing.
Ve completed her extensive training in marketing and design in London, Wiesbaden, and Madrid. These experiences have not only shaped her creativity but also deepened her expertise in branding and visual communication—an essential part of our modern studio presence.
In March 2024, Ve completed her yoga teacher training in Bali, further strengthening her passion for yoga. Since returning, she has been teaching Yoga Basics and our "Sunday Reset" class—perfect for unwinding at the end of the week.
Additionally, Ve has introduced Pilates classes to our schedule, adding even more variety to our offerings. Her energy, creativity, and dedication make her a wonderful addition to our team. Together, we continue to evolve Studio 85, creating a space that blends modernity, mindfulness, and tradition.

In 2015, I completed additional training as a Yin Yoga teacher and discovered a new passion. The meditative and deeply calming nature of Yin Yoga brought new physical and mental experiences, and I was absolutely fascinated! Yin Yoga became the perfect complement to my own practice, balancing the more dynamic Hatha Vinyasa Yoga that I had been practicing.
This was followed by various advanced trainings, where I had the privilege of crossing paths with wonderful teachers and colleagues. From each encounter, I took something valuable—both for myself and for my classes. It’s like a great puzzle, where many gaps have been filled, yet countless pieces still need to find their place.
Over the years, I have developed my own unique yoga style. I don’t rigidly adhere to a single tradition but allow myself the freedom to blend different influences. My classes incorporate elements of Qi Gong, woven into Vinyasa, Hatha, or Yin Yoga. Sometimes my sessions are dynamic and powerful, while at other times, they are quiet and meditative. They include both classical asanas and creative postures, which we approach with a sense of playfulness.
I am thrilled to welcome people of all ages to my studio, and there is nothing more fulfilling for me than feeling our energies flow together. The learning never stops! Studio 85 has become a new milestone in my life, and it is my great joy and honor to embark on this new journey with all of you.
